How Depop fees work in the US

US sellers pay no Depop selling fee. Every sale through the Buy button pays the Depop Payments processing fee of 3.3% + $0.45, charged on the item price plus shipping and any sales tax. If the buyer found you through a Boosted listing and bought within 28 days, Depop adds a 12% boosting fee on the item price (excluding tax), plus the shipping only when you arrange your own shipping. Boosting is never charged on Depop Shipping labels.

Example: a $40 top with $7 Depop Shipping and 8% tax is a $50.76 order. Processing is 3.3% × $50.76 + $0.45 = $2.13, so you receive $37.87 (the buyer’s shipping pays for the label). If it was a boosted sale, add 12% × $40 = $4.80, for $6.93 in fees.

Depop’s own example: a boosted item that sells for 50 including shipping pays 12% = 6.00 in boosting plus 3.3% + 0.45 = 2.10 in processing, 8.10 in total.

How much does Depop take from a sale in the US?

US sellers pay no Depop selling fee. The only standard fee is the Depop Payments processing fee of 3.3% + $0.45, charged on the item price plus shipping and any sales tax. On a $40 item with $7 shipping and 8% tax ($50.76 total), that is $2.13.

Does Depop still charge a 10% selling fee?

Not for sellers based in the US, UK or Australia. Sellers elsewhere who sell in another currency still pay a 10% selling fee plus PayPal processing.

How much is the Depop boosting fee?

For US and UK sellers it is 12% for boosts from March 23, 2026 (boosts made before then kept the old 8% rate). It is charged on the item price excluding tax, plus shipping only if you arrange your own shipping. It is never charged on Depop Shipping labels, and only applies if the buyer saw the boosted listing and bought within 28 days.

Does Depop charge processing on shipping?

Yes. The 3.3% + $0.45 processing fee is calculated on the item price plus shipping costs and any applicable taxes, even when the buyer pays for a Depop Shipping label.

Do I get my Depop fees back if I refund the buyer?

Yes. If a sale is refunded, Depop reverses all fees on it, including payment processing and boosting fees.
