eBay trading card fee rules
Cards in Sports Mem, Cards & Fan Shop > Sports Trading Cards, Non-Sport Trading Cards, Toys & Hobbies > Collectible Card Games and Comic Books & Memorabilia pay 13.25% of the total sale up to $7,500 per item and 2.35% on anything above, plus $0.30 (orders ≤ $10) or $0.40 per order. Above $7,500 the marginal rate drops to 2.35%, so high-end cards cost far less per dollar to sell than the headline rate suggests.
Low-value cards are the opposite: on a $3 card shipped in a $1 envelope, the per-order fee alone is about 7% of the sale. Bundling helps.

FAQ
What are eBay fees for sports cards?
Sports Trading Cards (and Non-Sport Trading Cards, Collectible Card Games, and Comic Books & Memorabilia) pay a 13.25% final value fee on the total sale up to $7,500 per item, 2.35% on the portion over $7,500, plus the $0.30/$0.40 per-order fee.
Do Pokémon and Magic cards get the trading card rate?
Yes, cards listed under Toys & Hobbies > Collectible Card Games use the same 13.25% rate as sports cards.
What would eBay charge on a $9,500 card?
eBay’s own example: a $9,500 card with free shipping and 6% tax is a $10,070 total sale. The fee is 13.25% of $7,500 + 2.35% of $2,570 + $0.40 = $1,054.55.
Is it cheaper to sell cards in lots?
The per-order fee is charged once per order, so bundling cheap cards into one order saves $0.30–$0.40 per card compared with selling them one by one.
