Etsy fees on digital downloads
Digital items pay the same fees as physical ones, but there’s no shipping to spread them over. On low-priced files the two flat fees ($0.20 listing renewal and $0.25 processing) make up a big share. On a $3 file, fees are about 25% of the price; on a $15 bundle, about 12.5%. Pricing bundles higher is often the easiest margin win.

FAQ
What fees does Etsy charge on digital downloads?
The same as physical items: $0.20 listing, 6.5% transaction fee and 3% + $0.25 payment processing. With no shipping, the fees apply to your item price (processing also applies to any tax collected).
How much do I keep from a $5 printable?
With no tax and no Offsite Ad: $0.20 + $0.33 + $0.40 = $0.93 in fees, so you keep about $4.07, or about 81%. The flat $0.20 and $0.25 hit cheap items hardest.
Do digital products renew the listing fee after each sale?
If the listing has more than one quantity available, Etsy auto-renews it at $0.20 after each sale. Most digital listings work this way, so plan for $0.20 per sale.
Do Offsite Ads apply to digital products?
Yes. If a buyer clicks an Offsite Ad and buys within 30 days, the 15% (or 12%) fee applies, capped at $100.
