How Etsy fees work
Every Etsy sale carries three core fees. The listing fee is $0.20 and lasts four months or until the item sells. The transaction fee is 6.5% of the item price plus the shipping and gift-wrap you charge. The payment processing fee for US bank accounts is 3% + $0.25 on the full order total, including tax. If a sale came from an Offsite Ad, Etsy adds 15% (12% for shops over $10k a year), capped at $100 per order.
Example: a $25 item with $5 shipping and 8% tax costs you $0.20 + $1.95 + $1.22 = $3.37 in fees, so you keep $26.63 before your costs.
